Video's effect on defenceman scoring?

    Not sure if this has ever been discussed here before, but when did the NHL start video reviewing every goal and altering the scoring on the play.

    And what effect do you think this may have on how many goals d-man have been credited today as opposed to years past?

    Seems like many goals originally awarded to d-men are changed a few minutes later when it has been determined that it hit a teammates stick/skate/shin/pants whatever.
