This video features a look at Owen Nolan's time with the Phoenix Coyotes upon his return to the NHL in 2006-07. After two seasons away from the National Hockey League, including the 2004-05 lockout, Nolan returned via the Phoenix Coyotes. He only spent a single year with the team, but at 34/35 years of age and after a two-year hiatus he seemed to make a decent impact.
With the Coyotes, he scored 16 goals and was third in goals as well as points for the club. The season was not terribly successful, but this video documents most of his goals that year as well as some of his toughness. Note he still has his booming shot.
Not too many people outside of Arizona had a good glimpse of Nolan during his brief stint with the Coyotes. What are your impressions of his time with the team, and are there any specific memories you have of him as a player? What were your expectations of him when he signed with the team, and were your expectations met? I'd like to hear some opinions.
