Anyone play Madden 19? Any good? I passed on last year's game for the first time in years and didn't really miss it.

It's about that time where I foolishly go buy it to play it once and never again. I was so close to pulling it off last year.
Didn't buy NHL for the first time in my life though, so i'm getting closer.
Have they bothered to add anything worthwhile the last few years?

NHL or Madden? I haven't followed any Madden news in years and I think that might be why I might enjoy it now. I used to buy the hype so much when I was a kid and I would always get let down. I was more of an NCAA guy anyway and well...RIP. I hope 2k gets back into the game someday.
I could never pass on NHL. It's my go to.

My main MP games right now are NHL (EASHL) and Fortnite on Xbone. But I will play a smattering of SP games too or whatever strikes my fancy. That's just where I'm at now; not a lot of other games striking my interest or I got burned out with them.

Xbox. Nhl is my go to, but with the kids I have not had much time to play. I wish nhl came to the switch this year.

Xbox and PS4. I'd prefer to go straight PS4 now because I hate Xbox's exclusives. I also avoid sports games like the plague and am sick to death of shooters but that's all my nephew knows how to play. The PS2 era was my favorite for gaming because of all the variety of RPGs and adventure games. I'm a sucker for a good Metroidvania or classic RPG. I hope someday I can get my niece to learn the greatness of Chrono Trigger. I'm currently starting FarCry 5.

So, the small screen has done wonders for my self esteem when it comes to playing video games. Playing much better than I did on the big screen. Just need to learn the maps and what not and i'll be back where I was.

Maps are my biggest issue with online shooters. By the time I learn the maps people learn the cheese spots.

Yep, that's also been a major issue for me over the years. In my younger days i'd have them all figured out the first day after playing 8 hours. Now I probably hit 8 hours in a month.

And it's the perfect thread to give you props for the Mega Man-inspired avatar. I spent many a rental dollar trying to beat those games before I had to return them. It took a while for my mom to work out that renting Mega Man during the school week equaled a mystery illness every time.

love the nintendo mini, I can pretty much beat zelda in about 90 min.

I've got an xbox, but lately I've been mostly playing on PC. I'm a nerd so I play a lot of sim/logistics type games, but I also love a good RTS and the occasional FPS/RPG.

I bought Fallout 3 GOTY edition during the steam summer sale with the intention of playing thru it again but haven't been inspired to sink the time into building a decent character yet. Also bought Hearts of Iron IV when it was on sale, but work has been leaving me too burnt out to try and wrap my head around that right now.
I wanna get excited about NHL 19, but I haven't really cared about the franchise since 15.

I play PS4 exclusively.
Right now, I am nearing the end of Horizon Zero Dawn - Gorgeous game with some fun gameplay but the writing is a little bit weak in my opinion.
Finish the Remastered The Last of Us a few months ago and I f***ing LOVED it.

PS4. Used to get the NHL games every year but stopped around 15. I’ve been playing a lot of destiny 2 and i won’t lie, I’m getting smoked in PvP haha.
That said i think i might bite the bullet and get NHL 19 so i can actually win online for once. Anyone have any input on how the online community is for that series these days? Is it still all spamming exploits or have they worked on that?

@Rebels57 dependig on how far you are in HZD, the finish line has a pretty cool ending to the story. I agree it’s a little meh throughout, but the end is cool if you like headtrips and crazy apocalypse stuff. Plus the combat in that game is soooo good.
