It took a couple of call-ups and 16 NHL games for him to accomplish the feat, but San Jose Sharks rookie forward Chris Tierney notched his first NHL goal in a 5-1 Sharks win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

With the Sharks up 3-0 early in the third period and working the puck deep in the Canucks’ zone, Sharks forward Andrew Desjardins moved the puck back to Marc-Edouard Vlasic at the left point, who them relayed the puck to defenseman Brent Burns at the right point.… read more
