Despite being passed over in the NHL Draft each time he was available, San Jose Sharks forward Barclay Goodrow signed an NHL contract with that club last March. And, less than a year later, Goodrow has potted his first NHL goal, which came in a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night.

With the Sharks putting on pressure in the Oilers’ zone, the puck came out to Goodrow’s linemate and fellow rookie, Melkar Karlsson, with Karlsson putting a point-blank shot on goal that was stopped by Oilers’ goaltender Ben Scrivens.… read more
