After being named the AHL Rookie of the Year for the 2013-14 season, then beginning this season producing at a point-per-game pace for the Texas Stars, Curtis McKenzie had the look of a player who was ready for the step up to the NHL.

In his second call-up to the Dallas Stars this season, and seventh NHL game overall, McKenzie netted his first NHL goal. The former Miami University star opened the scoring for the Stars in what ended up being a 6-2 loss at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks.… read more
