One of the more interesting stories at the start of the 2014-15 NHL season has been Philadelphia Flyers rookie forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare’s arrival in the NHL. The Le Blanc-Mesnil, France native starred for Skelleftea in the SHL the past five seasons before signing a contract with the Flyers in early June.

It took Bellemare seven games, but he finally registered his first NHL goal in a 5-3 win over the cross-state rival Pittsburgh Penguins.… read more
