Such a wonderful person that man was.

My middle name is Gordon, I had a couple names picked out for boys - but then my brother stole both of them - that's the problem with using family names. Anyway at this time I really want to name my son Gordon and call him Gordie, as a huge Wings fan and using mine and my father's middle name (I also have a one syllable last name that ends in "e"), I think it's a nice homage all around.

Now I just gotta find a nice lady that allows it.

I remember meeting Gordie for the first time at a hockey banquet,Kensington PEI in June 1966. I was 12 and was fortunate to meet him again Victoria BC at a book signing with his son Marty. It didn't matter how old I was he was and always be my hero.
