</p>Team USA earned the chance to face the team that knocked them out of last year’s tournament after posting a 7-0 win over the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals of the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship. The win means the U.S. will play Russia, who sent the Americans home early at last year’s WJC.
The leaders on offense for the USA in this game were forwards Auston Matthews (2016)*and Nick Schmaltz (CHI), who each picked up three points in the win.… read more
