</p>In what started off as a fairly tightly-played contest, Team Switzerland watched Sweden pull away in the final two periods to take an 8-1 win from the Swiss on Day 5 of the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship.

The good news for the Swiss is that points earned in their first two games of the tournament helped them avoid the relegation slot in Group A. Latvia has wrapped up their preliminary round with one less point than Switzerland, so the Latvians will face Denmark in the battle to avoid demotion to D1A.… read more
