I’m a Habs fan but I like that on any given night any team can beat anyone . I hate the way baseball has gone . How can one teams pitching staff be more than another teams entire payroll ? How will the blue jays be able to compete with that ? I like the level playing field .Hopefully Tampa will end up being a bit weaker next year .

kulak is like lehkonen. not a bad player, but no need to shell out assets for in this market. a comparable player will be available as an ufa and will gladly sign a 1 year contract, which helps to keep the cap flexibility for next off-season.

Kulak is not a great 5, he’s a serviceable 6th ideally a 7th. You can almost get 2 better d-men for what he’s making and 3 better forwards for what Byron makes. They’re not moveable in this market without adding an asset or taking back $. Lehkonen would have maybe value of a 4th round pick.
