He would need to clear waivers to be sent down next season. If they qualify him, does he pass through waivers if sent down?

Seems like a very reasonable plan for him then. He needs to make the team, if not, he goes to Rochester to play. If someone want them on their NHL roster, they can claim him.He would need to clear waivers to be sent down next season.
I see no reason why he'd go down to Rochester. If he can't make the team and no one picks him up on waivers, I'd think he'd head back to Russia.Seems like a very reasonable plan for him then. I don’t care if he’s mute, blindfolded, and can only understand Swahili and dolphin squeals. He’s better than Beaulieu.
With all this Dahlin excitement, I forgot Beaulieu was a sabre.I don’t care if he’s mute, blindfolded, and can only understand Swahili and dolphin squeals. He’s better than Beaulieu.
There were a lot of nights he did too. With all this Dahlin excitement, I forgot Beaulieu was a sabre.
Fans around the league must be outraged their team didn't pick him up.So no NHL offers and he goes back to the KHL
Viktor Antipin´s father: Sabres offered a new deal to Viktor, but he used to play for championship (with Magnitka in KHL), not for 29th place in NHL. So, he came back to Magnitka. He agreed a contract terms with Sabres GM and consulted his role with Sabres´ coach before coming to the NHL. When he came, GM and coach were another guys, all agreements were gone, but he accepted new challenge.
yeah, i'd rather go home and get paid better than questionably ride the pine for a bottom feeder across the planet

Phil could skate.Played for a coach that played the game the same way as he did when he played, in a system that supposedly would shine brightest on Antipin's strengths...and wasn't used effectively enough.
Let's ignore how this team hilariously had more goals against than goals for on the powerplay for months into the season. Antipin being the guy being beat on a few of them.Phil could skate.
If we still had Franson’s role of a sheltered third pairing, in a system based on stretch passing, we probably get a different, more confident player.
Also if Housley didn’t play every trash defensemen to flop around the roster ahead of him on the power play.

Teams can offer guys contracts without submitting a qualifying offer. A qualifying offer is a specific form that gets submitted to the player (and his representation), the NHLPA and Central Registry. The Sabres did not qualify Antipin. Unless the offer was for an AHL only contract, Dad is confused. There are also 31 teams in the NHL.
