At lease get the Devils 2nd rounder.
So basically a late first and a mid 2nd?
For Martinez?
Never would happen.

Your opinion and Blake couldve just waited it out til the offseason or next season. How? He’s not worth any more than what he got.
Then you move on.Marty still had another year.Blake is way to conservative. So basically a late first and a mid 2nd?
For Martinez?
Never would happen.

Rob Blake has quietly done an excellent job as GM of the Kings...
We're already a team that's incredibly constrained by cap. We shouldn't be in the habit of moving all our assets until we have no expendable ones left.Foley is old generally and Fleury is old hockey age so they aren't going to stop doing this for at least next season before they give it up. Us winning a bad pacific and having a mediocre team that gets to the WCF would only convince them more we are so close. But we aren't so close.
Except for those minor "spend tens of millions on players to not play for the team, hire a series of laughable gong-show head coaches, and languish perpetually in last place" details
He's doing a great job!

2nd round picks aren't as valuable in the NHL as other sports. Great trade for Vegas.
They are only more valuable in football.2nd round picks aren't as valuable in the NHL as other sports. Great trade for Vegas.
Then again Blake couldve gotten a better deal with patience. So get a worse pick in a much shallower draft? That's the direction you wanted to go with?
Vegas won this trade,Blake got hosed.
They are only more valuable in football.
Actually it's part of the business to maximize your assets return, not bad business to do so.Blake has always been afraid to be a risk taker.Martinez had another year left,no risk and no loss to wait for a better return.
Offer sheet is “bad business practice” but it happens. I say get the most you can for your team and who cares what others think. As long as your employer is happy that’s the bottom line.Toffoli is a top 6 forward and Martinez is a bottom 4 defenseman.
Holding out for a few more days to gouge suitors is bad business practice, and if they wait too long, there may not be any takers.
Yes on a horrible team.Dude has 8 points this season and 26 in his last 101 games, which is less than Ben EF Hutton. Don't let a few years ago cloud your view of the present. AMart is not close to the same Cup winner he once was.
Then again Blake couldve gotten a better deal with patience.
Same can be said about your dumb opinion.Crystal ball told you that? What better deal, from who?
Yes, very reminiscent of Tim Murray in 2015.Rob Blake has quietly done an excellent job as GM of the Kings...
His decline in play the last 2 years is part of why they were horrible...Yes on a horrible team.

not sure if this is true. 2nd round pick in NHL is way more valuable than NBA. Maybe not NFL and comparing any draft to MLB is f*cked.
Take your advice, you dont know if he couldnt. How do you know? Stop speaking in thoughts. You dont have to like the trade but its laughable for you to KNOW that Blake would have gotten more later, you don't know, stop saying you do.
Same can be said about your dumb opinion.
