whens the next game?
Friday Sept 13th vs NYE, Winner's Semifinals. If the Titans lose they have to beat the winner of the loser's bracket to advance to the finals, so they have two shots to advance essentially.

it's actually the Winners finals, the winners semifinals was last round

it's a weird system

Yeah sorry, Winner's Finals, to distinguish it from the Championship game. Winner advances to the championship game, loser gets to play once more to advance to the championship game.

Weird bracket structure but you see it a lot in gaming tournaments.

looks like my theory about eastern teams is being proven correct, ATL got absolutely dismantled by a medium strength team

Insane match.

Just catching up, good to know they made the finals.
Hope Bumper gets to play.

They would be idiots to play Bumper in the finals. Tizi has been so f***ing good. That’s nothing against Bumper but he isn’t the best option this meta. Same with Super in SFS.

Gotta hope the NYXL take down the Shock. I don’t trust the Titans against the Shock in this meta.

If you told me the Titans would lose King's Row, Numbani, and Temple of Anubis, and STILL win a best of 7 with wins on some of their worst maps (Lijiang!) I'd have said you were cray

Lijiang is actually their best control map with a score of 10-2, Ilios is second best at 11-3.

The Titans appear to mainly scrim control and escort, which is actually really smart. If a game goes to 7, there will be 2 assault and 2 escort and if it goes to 8 then there is 3 assault and 2 escort. Regardless of who they face in the grand finals, they will need to do better on assault and hybrid though for sure.

From what I’ve seen the Titans are best at the “standard” meta fights. They struggle more with the gimmicky bastion-type strats and set plays which are more likely to come on assault and hybrid.

It is bizarre to especially see Numbani in particular be a bad map for them right now

That game was a bit closer than the 4-0 score indicated. A lot of situations that could have went either way got clutched out by the SFS. Should be a great match if they can mostly get the Reaper/Doom matchup and stay away from the Bastian stuff.

I feel bad for NYXL a bit, but Titans/Shock is the biggest storyline rivalry this season imo
