Pedan at 15 (Fingers crossed) - Still a good sign for the team going forward, Definitely a lot guys in the top 15 that may never amount to much, but there's some promise here.

Thanks for doing these Nuckles.

Any chance you could add a YOY +/-/NR to each prospect based on where they sat last year? it'd be interested to track the changes from our 2014 polls.

Been plugging Pedan for a while now, I'm not sure if people forgot about him after the injury or if they think he could be seriously affected by the injury (perhaps he will, who knows...) but this is a guy who should clearly be ahead of the likes of Subban and Brisebois, imo. Possibly even Hutton as well. He's a physical force, can put up points, and seemed to be rounding out the IQ side of his game before the injury. He's one of the guys I'm most excited to see play next year.

Agreed, i would've had him ahead of Subban at least. But there is some real reason for concern with Pedan's head injuries. Given the style of game he plays.

But then, he appears to have this one well in hand...and quite rightly so. I'm with you, on the idea that he ought to have gone at least a couple spots earlier.

For me he would be ahead of them but I'm cautious about the injury. He could easily jump into my top five if he comes back as he was, but it's a nagging worry for me.

I can't believe I still haven't been tempted by Jensen. I wasn't ever terribly high on him, but I can't believe how low he's dropped in my estimation.

Forget 2014 --- how about the 2006 article?

1. Luc Bourdon
2. Cory Schneider
3. Michael Grabner
4. Kevin Bieksa
5. Jannik Hansen
6. Alexander Edler
7. Jesse Schultz
8. Julien Ellis
9. Mason Raymond
10. Alexandre Vincent
11. Daniel Rahimi
12. Kirill Koltsov
13. Juraj Simek
14. Mike Brown
15. Matt Butcher
16. Rick Rypien
17. Sergei Shirokov
18. Nathan McIver
19. Kris Fredheim
20. Denis Grot

Interesting to look back - especially at Jesse Schultz who put up 37 goals in the AHL, and had a lot of people suddenly hoping he would become an NHL player... maybe Alex Grenier can avoid this fate.

I dont think many people were really expecting Jesse Shultz to crack the NHL at the time. Too small and slow and he had a terrible training camp. Nonis only seemed to pump his tires as a Sedin line mate because he was getting flack for being unable to acquire a top six winger. He was like the right winger version of Martin Brochu.

Voted Tryamkin.

I like Pedan too but I think this was his 3rd concussion. You have to wonder if he can play his game much longer or if he can truly recover.

Haven't seen enough of Trymakin, but he intrigues the crap out of me. Went with Pedan, but after the injury, I am less and less excited about him. Also can't believe Jensen has fallen this far off the map. Might have to vote for him next just cause.

8/20 players became nhl players from that pool. That is without Bourdon being included.

I don't even know what to expect from our prospect pool anymore because it has yielded next to nothing. Fans of this team have overhyped it for years but it was always ranked in the bottom 3rd of the league and rightfully so.

Nobody pumped Pedan as much as me before his injury, but I am seriously questioning whether he'll be able to succeed in playing to the same extremes he did last year after his concussion. I chose Jensen for this poll for that reason.

Interesting to see Brown and Rypien on that list. Once you get past the top 6 or 7 a player still has to bring something elite to the table. Rypien was an excellent energy guy that could fight well above his weight class. Brown is just a nasty piece of business to play against...both added speed too.
