John Steven's needs to be traded before any Kings player does .Need a new coach new system and evaluate which players dont fit in the system. Then and only then do you start trading players etc.Makes no sense to make trades before a new coach.

This is not the reason why NYI would part with Lee for an old Carter. The guy just scored 35 & 40 goals in the last 2 years. He's far more valuable than Carter to this date, you should temper your expectations if you trade Carter. Putting Ho-Sang on top of Lee is just unrealistic.

Ho-Sang is the central piece of a deal for Carter, not Lee.
Price is firm, this isnt the dollar store or Wal Mart :laugh:Deal for Carter starts with a first round pick or equivalent and add.Carter is a winner, two time Stanley Cup Champion, got experience as a leader and a great cap hit compare to other players.Carter can play second line center and wing on any line.

Laugh all you want. I haven't said a thing about a 1st rounder or not. Ho-Sang + 1st in a reasonable ask. It might not be the dollar store but it's surely not a 5* hotel in Dubai either. Asking for Lee+ is ridiculous for Carter at his age.

He's still a good player but obviously not a 25-30yo Carter.

If LA is still out of it at the end of November (they play alot of divisional games in November) I would be game for this

It would help if the Kings had ANYBODY in their organization ready to step into the 2C slot that Carter's trade would vacate. But they don't. Not even close. Organizational depth at center may be their greatest weakness and trading Carter would signal total capitulation on this season and beyond. I don't think they are ready to go there.

Perfect add for a budget team. 3/2/2 real money salary for the final three years of his contract. He doesn't have a NTC.

Brassard for Carter?

Similiar to Hagelin deal... Kings get a guy who will come off the books next season and also has good trade value if they wanted to move him at the deadline. Pens take on the risk of the recent leg injury, and ages 35, 36, and 37 at a $5M cap hit.
