One is playing 15-1/2 minutes a night while playing for a good NHL team with a good d corp. The other... isn't.
One also, prior to the start of the 2020-21 NHL season, played 19 games in the Swedish Elite league scoring 19 pts and was rated the best defenseman in the league all while playing on his off side (RD).

You're still upset over my Lucic comment, eh?

You got mad because you and other Flames fans stated the Oilers have terrible depth, I commented on the Flames and their depth since you have Lucic on your PP.

Can you provide some specific posts I've made in regards to getting defensive about the Oilers?

I'll wait, I fully expect a response from you.
Hello Skolman (don't wanna assume your gender with a Mr/Ms)

Do you understand the role of a net front presence on a powerplay? Their job is to screen the goalie, bang in rebounds, and generally cause chaos in front of the net. Are you old enough to remember Sean Avery waving his stick in front of Brodeur on the powerplay? He did an excellent job.

In this sense, Lucic is actually the perfect player for a net front presence. With his Big frame, sexy muscles, and overall physique, not only does he impede the goalie, but also distracts him.

Your argument is a strawman fallacy, and doesn't say anything about the Flames depth.

sure, I’d love to, but 1) your profile is locked so I cannot even go back to posts that I remember your blatant bias and 2) your one post in this thread says it all, to the person I was quoting. Didn’t you see that? I can quote my original quote again if it helps your navigation skills.

You’re quite easy to spot, I can tell you that.

thanks in advance.
It can be done, however with 7600 posts since joining in Feb 2018 it will probably be a daunting task and not really worth the time and effort. Ignore him like you would ignore a magpie squawking his fool head off.

As expected, you can't name one.

This is all quite ironic that you of all people want to pick this bone.

As for the post I quoted, what's your point? I clearly pointed out that poster has no idea what he is talking about as Bouchard's skating has improved a lot since his draft year.

But as expected, you can't back up any claims you make once again. Another poor attempt, smart guy.

As of this moment, there’s nothing that could convince me this isn’t Juike.
Dunno. Once I see Bouchard play in the NHL again this might be closer.

Lucic gets way more powerplay minutes than he should. It's disgusting that he gets more chances to score than guys like Bennett, Mangiapane, and Dube. He's a big body, but he has no hands and no offensive creativity.

I realize this has nothing to do with this thread, but nobody should be trying to argue that the amount of time Lucic gets on the powerplay is justified.

As a Flames fan that loved Bouchard in his draft year I have absolutely no idea. Too close/early to tell for me.

I like Bouchard's poise with the puck a lot. Biased Oilers fan but at this point I'll choose the player with the higher ceiling, which is Bouchard imo.

Excuse me big mon but I tend to disagree. You don't know Lucic's sexy muscles like I do. That man has a hip circumference of 77.8 inches (divide that by 10 for his bird size [hehe]). Wide load for a big visual obstructive force.

This is a kind of a strange reason.

Isn’t one... a year older than... the other?

Yes, Valimaki is a year older than Bouchard but Valimaki has had multiple injuries which has limited his development. A high ankle sprain limited him to 24 NHL games in 2018-19, followed by a knee injury while training that summer, requiring significant surgery that cost him all of last season. Valimaki has played 66 pro hockey games (NHL/AHL/Finnish League) since he was drafted in 2017 while Bouchard has played 84 professional hockey games (NHL/AHL/Swedish league) since he was drafted in 2018. Game wise, neither really has development advantage over the other and I don't think that one being 22 and the other being 21 makes much of a difference.
