I think it is going to be tough to keep him in the USHL. CHL import draft eligible and drafted fairly high in the KHL draft.

Well he is planning to go to Penn State in 2015. I think he plays at State College for a season and then might explore professional options after that.

There have been many broken commitments once the CHL import draft occurs. Penn State gives him leverage to go to a team he would like to play for. Not saying it is going to happen but I am sure there is going to be a lot of tugging by a team.

He had a pretty solid season playing on a line with Scott Conway, also a Penn State commit.

And he's been playing in USA for years now, how would he even be considered an import when guys like Daniil Vertiy, Leon Lazarev, Igor Larianov, and countless other Europeans in midget have gone through the normal midget drafts?

I believe this past year was his 3rd year playing in the USA....much like Ivan Provorov who played here in Cedar Rapids. Both are eligible this year for the CHL import draft.

Yes he did have a great year playing for the ice, thus my reasoning for a CHL team to put pressure on him to sign.

If I was a betting man, I would say he never plays a game in Happy Valley. Yes I understand his connection to Conway and Nikita Pavlychev who are both PSU commits.

Good thing you're not a betting man, he wasn't even picked in the Import draft.

No he wasn't selected but I still don't think he will play a game in Happy Valley.
