This was my favorite part of the report:

But it was not good enough for an irresistible appearance of Dallas Stars center and NHL-Superstar Mike Modano. He showed how classy NHL guys can be. After taunting some German defenders he brought Jonas to the ice and lifted a wrist shot right under the cross-bar. This highlight goal was even to the delight of German fans, who applauded at such skill.

Goals and assists: (Munich)

0:1 USA (11:08) Cole (Modano)
0:2 USA (14:20) Modano (Knuble)
1:2 GER (48:27) Felski (Bakos, Martinec)
2:2 GER (52:38) Benda (Kopitz)
2:3 USA (54:30) Park (Stastny) *shorthanded goal

Attendance: 6250 (sellout)

Of interest, a fight broke out in the 3rd period involving Germany's Benda and Martinec along with USA's Gill and Halpern.

Thanks. I was wondering if they were still playing York with Knuble and Modano. A line of Mikes, heh.

Oh man, not only seems Mike in a better condition than most would've expected him to be, he also taunted Germans.. ;)
