I know I'm going to regret this and this is simply going on a hunch. But the Panthers are due to win a game at some point and the Texans may be either overconfident or in a spot to take a winless opponent lightly. Stroud has been great but is due for a stinker. Official pick:

Panthers over Texans

Texans favored by 3

Week 1: Dolphins over Chargers (W)
Week 2: Stillers over Browns (W)
Week 3: Titans over Browns (L)
Week 4: Dolphins over Bills (L)
Week 5: Saints over Pats (W)
Week 6: Texans over Saints (W)
Week 7: G-men over Commies (W)

Season: 5-2

Vikes/Packers is now a pick 'em

Steelers over Jaguars for me. It's the Steelers, they are home and the Jaguars convince no one unless they are facing the Colts, I fully expect an ugly Steelers W like usual.

Week 1: Raiders over Broncos (W)
Week 2: Steelers over Browns (W)
Week 3: Saints over Packers (L)
Week 4: Dolphins over Bills (L)
Week 5: Cardinals over Bengals (L)
Week 6: Texans over Saints (W)
Week 7: Jaguars over Saints (W)

This might be off the reservation, it’s hard to believe the 49ers would lose 3 in a row, but the 49ers are on a short week while the Bengals had the bye, and presuming that finally has Joe Burrow healthy. Bengals are -4, I’ll roll the dice they pull out a close one and reassert themselves.

I thought the Niners would win.

But...I am not surprised Cincinnati won.

Burrow is much better than Purdy. It looks like he is healthy. And the Bengals appear to be over their early season struggles.

Purdy needs things to be perfect in order to succeed. Not a recipe for success in QB driven league.
