NHL:
Winger Marek Svatos has exploded on to the NHL scene as one of the top scoring rookies so far this year. He's got 14 goals and 14 assists and has been a huge game breaker for the Avalance (6 GWG). Reports before the season stated that GM Otten was shopping Svatos around in trade. Probably a good thing Otten hung on to him, as Svatos looks primed to take a position on the top 2 lines next year. After his sensational professional debut in the AHL playoffs last year, center Mike Richards has continued this success at the NHL level. He's accumulated 5 goals and 11 assists, and has become a regular contributor for the Flyers. While he's slowed down a bit offensively lately, Richards still remains a very important player for Philadelphia. He's poised to become the Panthers third line center next season. Defenseman Chris Campoli has come out of relatively nowhere to become a main cog on the Islanders blueline. He's put together 3 goals and 10 assists so far and is beginning to get more and more ice time. He's a big part of the Panther future and should easily step on to a top 6 spot next year. Brent Burns has had a bit of a rougher season, after continuing to float back and forth between defense and forward. He's put together 2 goals and 6 assists so far, the majority coming from the beginning of the year where he was playing defense. Then injury bugs forced Minnesota to put him back at forward where he still remains. Who knows what the future lies for Burns, as he's still a major wildcard. While he's not been a huge factor on the scoresheet, Senators tough guy Brian McGrattan has definitely proven he belongs in the NHL. He's slowly been receiving more and more ice time as he proves he's not a liability on the ice when not fighting. McGrattan may have slightly more potential then just your average scrapper. Cody McCormick is another player whos found himself a spot in the NHL, on the Avs 4th line. And even though he hasn't been hitting the scoresheet, he's still got good potential as a role playing third liner. The recently signed Geoff Platt made a huge impact at the AHL level before finally getting the call up to the big show where he seems to be producing with 2 assists in 4 games while getting good ice time. Hopefully he can continue to play well and stick in the show for good.

AHL:
David Clarkson - Enjoying a pretty solid rookie AHL season with Albany where he has 4 goals and 8 assists to go with a boatload of penalty minutes
Karl Stewart - still inconsistent in his third AHL season, with 5 goals and 3 assists, but the lowered penalty minutes suggests that Stewart may have finally stopped taking stupid penalties. Next year is probably a make or break year
Kevin Bieksa - got a late start to the year thanks to an injury which probably cost him a spot on the Canucks blueline. But it's only a matter of time before he gets a call up most likely, with him scoring at nearly a point per game pace.
Dwight Helminen - Having a breakout sophomore professional season as he's got 12 goals and 5 assists for Hartford so far. With his combo of speed and defensive player, to go with this new found scoring touch, Helminen could find himself getting back up the prospect charts.
Greg Watson - Finally beginning to score in his third professional season. 5 goals and 5 assists so far with Binghampton (one point shy of his season high already)
Ivan Khomutov - The 20 year old Russian centerman is enjoying more success in his second AHL season, as he becomes a little more mature. He still needs to work on consistency but he's too young to right off
Yared Hagos - Has had a bit of trouble in his rookie AHL season after finally crossing the pond from Sweden. He's been stuck on the 3rd and 4th lines in Iowa and has only put up 2 goals and 6 assists. But he's still displaying a solid two way game and can hopefully begin to pick it up after almost cracking the Stars opening day roster.
Jonathan Sigalet - Enjoying a very, very solid first professional season after leaving Bowling Green early and playing in the AHL as a 19 year old. He's got 4 goals and 8 assists for Providence and has established himself as a solid offensive threat from the blueline. The defensive game will come around as he gains strength and experience.
Randall Gelech - going through a bit of a sophomore slump in his second AHL season after posting a solid effort and shooting up the Yotes prospect charts last year. His 4 goals and 5 assists still put him 4th in points on San Antonio, which is a testament to how bad that team is.
Matt Koalska - Similar to Helminen, this two way college player is enjoying more offensive success in his second professional season. His 8 goals and 7 assists puts him 5th in team scoring and if he continues to play well, should be able to cement himself further on the Isles prospect chart
Ryan Oulahen - Pretty much doing as expected in his first AHL season. Oulahen has put up 3 goals and 4 assists and supplied solid effort from Grand Rapids third line. Still a solid, unheralded checking prospect.

Europe:
Oliver Setzinger - made the trek home to Austria this season for apparent family reasons. But is second in league scoring and too talented to be playing that league. Here's hoping he finally comes over to North America after this season.
Rob Hisey - After starting very slow, with Assat of the Sm-Liiga, Hisey has caught fire lately and has 6 goals and 6 assists now, with Assat really playing well. Hopefully Hisey can continue his strong play to earn himself at least an AHL contract next season.
Andrei Plehanov - Secured himself a spot in the RSL this season, but failed to get an invite on to the Russian WJC team.
Ivan Tkachenko - continues to produce in the RSL, hopefully the Blue Jackets can get him to cross the pond next year, as time is running out on this 26 year old forward
Tuuka Rask - Putting up solid, but unspectacular numbers in the SM-Liiga this year and should anchor the Finnish effort at the WJC's.

NCAA:
Geoff Paukovich - After having a very successful freshman season at Denver last year, Paukovich has fallen into a serious offensive slump with only three assists all year. On a bright note, he did make the American WJC team this year.
Casey Borer - Still not putting up offensive numbers for St. Cloud, but that's not his game. He's a solid stay at home stalwart and still has a bright future
Tom Gilbert - his offensive numbers are back up with Wisconsin and he;s beginning to mold himself into one of the better defenseman in the NCAA.
Kevin Schaeffer - his offensive stats have continued to nose dive with Boston U. Perhaps he's focusing more defensively?
Kyle Klubertanz - Similar stats to Gilbert in his sophomore season at Wisconsin. He should start shooting up Anaheim's prospect chart if he continues to produce

OHL:
Evan McGrath - has exploded even more offensively this season with Kitchener, establishing himself as one of the better offensive players in the OHL. Still needs to work on his consistency, and he failed to be invited to the WJC camp.
Robbie Schremp - Demolishing the OHL with 73 points in 25 games, and nearly making the Oilers out of camp, everything is looking up for Mr. Schremp. Look for him to have a big WJC for the Americans.
Cal O Reilly - Establishing himself as one of the better playmakers in the OHL, O'Reilly is still having some trouble putting the puck in the net.
Michael Vernace - Vernace continues to build on last season's solid OHL debut.
Josh Disher - Erie Otters goaltender has struggled a bit in his overage season, but should still get a contract somewhere, whether it be from New Jersey, the team that drafted him or someone else.

WHL:
Jared Walker - After starting pretty solid for Red Deer this year, Walker was traded to Prince George and has begun to struggle offensively again.
Roman Tomanek - Having a decent bounce back year with Seattle after injuries cut his prior season. His 11 goals leads the Thunderbirds

QMJHL:
Keith Yandle - Has exploded in Moncton, as he leads all QMJHL defenseman in scoring with 12 goals and 30 assists. He's also the Plus/minus leader. Yandle is rocketing up the Yotes prospect chart, but failed to make the American WJC team surprinsgly.
Frederik Cabana - Having an average season for Halifax, but in his 4th QMJHL season, should still be putting up better offensive numbers.
Julien Ellis-Plante - Has a good shot of being one of team Canada's goaltenders at the upcoming WJC's after continuing to be one of the best goaltenders in the CHL.
