Good to see it move forward...or at least closer.

See it's scheduled to open in 2018. Question on the current lease.

Understand that the current lease at Oracle expires in 2017 and there is a dispute between the team and the county over the team's debt it owes from the late 90's renovations.

Has that been resolved or could the Warriors be homeless or a year - Maybe park in San Jose again?

They may allow ice facilities, but more like Brooklyn/AWA where it's been configured for basketball, not hockey.

Would allow them to host ice shows (Disney on Ice, etc.).

And a win in a legal battle brought against city for EIR/approval of arena.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, a supporter of the project, lauded San Francisco Superior Court Judge Garrett Wong’s ruling upending challenges to the city’s approval of the project.

“Today’s Superior Court decision today is an important milestone in the process of bringing the Golden State Warriors back to San Francisco and to building a state-of-the-art entertainment venue the entire San Francisco Bay Area can be proud of,” the mayor said in a prepared statement.

“The Warriors are inspiring a new generation of fans throughout the Bay Area, and I can’t wait to welcome them back home to San Francisco,” he added.

Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts said the decision brings construction of the stadium “a huge step closer.”

How about accessibility? Any SFMuni stop there? Even Foothill Transit's Silver Streak's final westbound/starting eastbound stop is Staples Center.

In contrast, for all the times I lived in two years in the SFBA, Oakland Coliseum/Oracle Arena is the most accessible.

From the placements I have seen they are covered by the same series of stops that are there for the Giants...

http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Opponents-of-Warriors-Mission-Bay-arena-appeal-8413159.php

A week after a state Supreme Court judge shot down the group’s environmental challenge to the $1 billion basketball and entertainment venue, the alliance said Monday that it will take the case to the California Court of Appeal. The Mission Bay Alliance claims San Francisco city officials violated the California Environmental Quality Act, along with other state laws, when they signed off on the 2,300-page environmental report analyzing how the 18,000-seat area would impact everything from traffic to public transit to wind and shadows.

It ain't over, 'til it's over.
