Matt Stajan should be ahead of Lupul, Upshall, and arguably Roy and Stoll.

I can't complaine about Russia's forwards but I think Suglobov would be a nice choice since talented RW russian forwards are hard to come by.

Tallackson is a LW, not a defensmen. Picking him would be a wildcard, the guy does show up for big games.

My mistake on Tackleson I remember him being a good player a few years back and an early pick.. thought he played D... my fault.... In his place on D I would put Mark Stuart... or Lee fardelau
who do u think?

I don't know much about tunik and don't think he'd be better than any of the players i named... and Semin I just don't like as a hockey player.

I love Stajan and the leafs.... but Stajan isn't as good as any of the aformentioned..

if this was 83's and down he would be on this team for sure...

Only corrections i'd make is having Eric Staal in the lineup in place of perhaps Crosby, Jarrot Stoll, or Matt Lombardi. Perhaps even Nathan Horton. Eric Staal is just as talented as a lot of these players on the list, I honestly don't see how he gets overlooked.

Also, it would be hard to not consider Josh Harding or Cam Ward for one of the goaltending slots. Leclaire is older, but he's also hit a bit of a rough stretch in his development. Not saying he won't turn out, but there are more deserving names out there right now in my opinion.

Good size at 6`1 200, explosive speed and great mobility. Very aggresive on the forecheck, sometimes too much. All round offensive game, considered a sniper. Unlike many goal scorers Suglobov has an edge. He has a hard shot and can beat almost anyone one on one. A very hard worker. Isn't all that developed defensivly. He isn't that good a plymaker, he sometimes tries to do it by himself. He was once considered to have no hockey sense, things have changed and I would consider it above average. Will make the devils with a solid camp next year or rip up the AHL with Parise if there is a lockout :)

No he shouldn't.

And I'm not certain how Eric Staal was left off this team.

Johan Fransson - Nicklas Grossman

Grossman on the first pairing? I know he was somewhat of a project, maybe even somewhat of a reach being taken in the 2nd round, but is this more or less an indication of how weak Swedish' upcoming defense is or does it mean that Grossman is simply better than most have throught around here?

Grossman is only there because I think he would be a good fit (granted he becomes a fine player in the future) playing with Fransson. He is probably not the in the top 40 if you look at Swedish defensemen under the age of 23, but I am trying to build a team here and a stay-at-home defenseman beside a flashy Fransson would be a good fit. :)

how familiar are you with the Swedish players that are in fact listed there? I'm asking you this because it is indeed more astounding to think that Jonasén is a top 14 Swedish U23-forward than not. Not saying he can't become a fine player :)

Thanks I like people's opinions..... now i'l justify my picks

The tournament would be held right now.... Lombardi before his concussion was one of the flames best players in the playoffs... his speed and overall play were enough to earn a spot on my checking line with stoll and ott....
Staal.. was my hardest decision... it came down to him and horton... Crosby is too talented not to play on this team... IMO
Horton had a better year until he got injured therefore I have him the spot.. i also think horton is better on the wing than Staal.. and thats where id have him playing..

Leclaire has played excellent for Canada in the past and im sure he could do it again... I was so close to picking Harding as well.... but in the end Leclaires WJHC starting experience and pro experience got him the job...

thanks for contributing though...
