CALGARY (CP): RJ Umberger has flipped between the third and fourth lines this season and has yet to make an impact. An injury a few weeks ago to Pavel Datsyuk saw him temporarily elevated to the second line. In that three game stint, Umberger had only one assist. And Calgary, who lost badly to Vancouver on Friday night, gained revenge with Umbergers timely overtime goal, which ended Calgary's two game slump.

Milan Hejduk seemed to find chemistry with the young forward, extracting four assists from the game. Calgary continues to let Jarome Iginla play on the top line, despite the fact that he has not found any chemistry with Pavel Datsyuk and Vaclav Prospal.

NOTES: Defenceman Daniel Girardi saw his first NHL action. He was even in 5 minutes of ice time... Chris Phillips returned to training and is not expected to miss any more games... Umbergers promotion meant demotion for Ruslan Fedotenko to the fourth line. Fedotenko is -14, while every other regular Flames forward is a plus... Steve Eminger was a +4 in the Vancouver tilt. He leads all flames players with +18, in just 32 games. Since his signing, the Flames have lost just 8 games... Calgary is rumoured to be hot on the heels of a second line LW as a permanent replacement for Fedotenko... Michael Ryders five game point scoring streak came to an end... Prospal's name is still floating around in trade rumours, although GM Matthew Kershaw was reported to be confused by the lack of interest in the free agent forward... Thomas Kaberle's hook on centre Sergei Brylin looked innocuous until replays showed the stick around Brylins neck. Kaberle was ejected for the incident. Brylin did not return.
