Ottawa Senators are taking the realistic route. They take a goalie who is developing well. He's a solid backup who can take the starters role possibly a little later on. There are still a few number 1 goalies left out there but i think i should go to the realistic route.

Ottawa Senators take backup G Vesa Toskala

A solid back-up, yes, whether or not he pans out as a starter.

So... what do you guys think of having another 5-10 rounds of drafting for your AHL team?

Time for the final 5-10 rounds of AHL/prospect players to fill out our AHL rosters, isn't it?

We only need 5 rounds, but 10 allows us to keep some prospects as prospects rather than on our AHL roster.

A good G.M. can't rush a prospect too fast. In one league, I've seen Phaneuf on the top NHL pairing!! where he'd better be situated as a Top-3 player on an AHL club or maybe, maybe a 6th or 7th d-man on an NHL roster.
