I think this would be really fun!! First we could have a draft in which we would draft 5 prospects(That have never played a full season of pro NHL/AHL)any positions you want. Then we would have a farm draft. Have 10 Farm players.(Have to have 1 goalie in it.) Then we could have NHL draft of 17 rounds. 9 forwards 6 dmen 2 goalies. Lookin for about 5-7 teams. 12 hour time limit what do you guys say?

1.leafs_fan1001 Toronto Maple Leafs/Toronto Marlies

4.bossy22 NewYork Islanders/Bridge Port Sound Tigers
5.VanIslander San Jose Sharks/Oakland Seals
6.MaDdy Ottawa Senators/Binghamton Senators

To make it real like...

How about adding two more rounds to allow for a head coach and for an extra player to man the booth and sub against certain teams (pp guy who doesn't take a regular shift, enforcer, face-off specialist, etc)?

Alright sounds good to me but I will add one more round for our AHL coach! This is going to be a blast! :handclap:

What makes a prospect? Specifically, what counts as not having played a "full season"? (I suggest 59 career NHL games or less designates a prospect, or something like that - a hard and fast rule). Is there an age limit? Can we pick as young a player as we want? (Crosby, Frolik, etc) As old as we want? (European league guys who haven't made the jump yet). How many games qualifies a goaltender for which draft? (back-ups). And what makes a farm player? (only AHLers? What about those in other minor leagues?)

Please specify.

What does everyone think of this draft? Is there any suggestions?

IMO, this draft is way too slow. Sure it was fun and exciting at the start but what happened to the commitment and flow.

Opps, sorry just drafting my June 25th post in advance.

On a serious note its a good idea, don't add too many rounds and GM's or it'll end up lagging like most drafts.

I suggest we have exactly 8 teams. Great for postseason (poll) match-ups!

ALRIGHT, AHL players are considered players that are currently playing in the AHL

Prospects are considered players who play in th CHL/College/Euro hockey that have played 59 games or less in the AHL or NHL.

AHL age limit is unlimited and Propect age limit is 16-25

The prospect age 16-25... okay. Is this for both skaters and goalies?

Why have a maximum age limit? When do we draft guys over 25? 26 year olds who haven't played in North America enough yet are available to be drafted when? the NHL draft I presume.
