The TUF card is pretty weak as usual, but that's a good main event. I think Usman will be able to just over-power RDA and grind away at him. Maybe he gets a finish in Round 3 or 4 but I expect a dominant 5 round decision for Usman.

Pretty fun card on Saturday, though. I think JDS will be able to take out Tuivasa but I like that fight. Hopefully Hunt can go out (from the UFC) on a high note and beat Willis. Pedro v Shogun is probably the fight I'm looking forward to most of all this weekend.

These TUF cards are some of the most painful ones because I don't know any of the TUF fighters and it usually ends up being a long drawn out main card.

The main event is an important fight so I'll be watching that one for sure. It likely won't be an exciting fight but I also like Usman to get it done. Interesting fight for Benavidez as well since we don't know his future. I imagine he's one of the flyweights they want to bump up to 135 and keep but if he doesn't want that then it could be his last fight in the UFC.

Agree about the second card. It has the potential to be a good one with some entertaining fights. JDS/Tuivasa, Hunt/Willis, and Matthews/Martin are all interesting. Pedro isn't the greatest striker but I still think this might end very badly for Shogun.

Really good main event, had no idea this was coming up.

Watched some of TUF and it was pretty good from what I saw. Justin Frazier was the last pick and took out the #1 iirc.

Munhoz had an impressive early finish.

Shevchenko looked good in her fight as well. I'm curious to see how she does against better competition.

Usman's a bad matchup for Dos Anjos but this should be interesting.

This is just a beating now. Not the usual grind it out performance by Usman either. He's landing big shots and looks great.

Dominant performance for Usman. Unfortunately for him, that's probably not enough for him to get the winner of Woodley/Covington.

Forget facing the winner, Dana said after last night they're considering swapping Usman for Covington against Woodley. Probably just Dana speak but that's a pretty good indication in the least that Usman is likely the #1 cotender at this point.

Who else would get it? Maybe you could make a case for Lawler if he KO's Askren or something, but I think Usman is pretty clearly the next in line.

I'll never advocate fighters cutting weight, but RDA just isn't strong enough to hang with the wrestlers at 170lbs. Still lots of fun matchups for him though, I just think his time at the top of the division is over.

I think that might've been the first time I've heard Dana compliment Usman. I can't tell if the Woodley stuff was genuine or Dana's just not happy with Covington right now but either way, it's good for Usman to get that praise.

I also believe he should be next in line but I was thinking they might make him fight in a #1 contender fight next. It looks like he made a good impression on Dana though so he might be in a good spot now.

He's one of those guys who could really benefit from a 165 lb division. He's not strong enough for 170 and 155 is a really bad cut for him. That won't be easy either because a few good 170 lb fighters might drop down as well but he'll likely have a much better shot there.

In the same interview he didn’t seem happy with the way negotiations are going with Woodley/Covington so you may be on to something. Could just be negotiating ploy on Dana’s part.

This is my thought as well.

Have to consider they wanted Woodley/Covington instead of Woodley/Till as well and Covington said he was hurt, so at this point Dana may be growing a bit tired trying to schedule this fight.

Woodley has always been tough to schedule fights for between his own injuries and trying to pick fights so I doubt those negotiations have been fun.

First time I can remember Hunt having a visible beef with someone like this. Will be very interesting to see if that has any effect on the fight.

I guess it's possible since they don't even have Woodley-Covington booked yet. But if Woodley demolishes Covington like I'm expecting him to, and Usman loses, there wouldn't be any good fights to make for Woodley. He already beat Till, Wonderboy, and Lawler. RDA's lost 2 in a row now. He won't fight Askren. Maybe Ponz if he gets another win? But I think they should get Woodley-Covington booked ASAP and then do Woodley-Usman ASAP after that.

Yes, RDA is one of the most perfect examples of why there should be a 165lb division. Just too small at 170lb (especially against wrestlers) but 155lb is a helluva cut.

Nice job by Matthews there.

2nd round, pretty uneventful. Would call that even. I have it 20-19 Matthews going into the 3rd.

Wow, Martin gets the submission early in the 3rd.

Yusuff looked great. The stoppage might've been a bit early but he had Suman hurt.

Nice finish for Martin as well.

That Hunt/Willis fight was awful. Too bad Hunt leaves the UFC with a loss and performance like that.

Was hoping for one last walk-away KO.
