Great card from top to bottom. I'm still not sure how the main event will go so I'll wait until it gets closer to make a prediction but I think I'm leaning towards Conor right now. Khabib has the obvious grappling advantage but he also leaves himself open to get hit pretty often. Conor hasn't competed in MMA in pretty a long time though so it'll be interesting to see how he looks. I just hope it lives up to the hype.

It's still a few weeks away but the press conference is tomorrow so might as well get it started.

I'm not even going to talk about this card until fight week, too much can go wrong.

Should be a pick em imo and I still think Conor takes it. If Khabib makes it to the fight of course.

It took like 15 minutes but Connor got to Khabib. It was just really really odd having no fans there at all. Should have atleast made it a conference for the entire card or something.

Based on the tweets I'm seeing, Conor hasn't lost a step at all when it comes to promoting and he didn't shy away from anything when it comes to Khabib, his family, his politics, and his shady manager. What a maniac.

I don't think Khabib is one to get rattled though so it probably won't help Conor in the fight. Aldo was clearly way too emotional and Alvarez was too to some extent.

I used to be a big fan of McGregor's. When he was having fun, talking trash, etc.

Now he's so angry, whoring himself out, trying too hard, playing the fool, selling his brand

I hope Khabib suffocates him for 5 rounds

Gonna have to disagree pretty strongly here. It was just incoherent babbling and reaching for the most part. I think a Ferguson/McGregor presser would be hysterically entertaining. Ditto for Kevin Lee, but that one would probably get physical or at least provocative. In this case, all its about is October 6th. And its a crazy unpredictable matchup - can go either way.

It will be interesting, if Khabib goes for his vintage and seemingly reckless take down attempts, keeping up the pressure on McGregor.

This fight is interesting, due to McGregor's underrated take down defense. Its not Daniel Cormier good, but is effective enough to where he was able to keep the fight on the feet for a few take down specialists he has fought in the past.

With that said, I don't see Khabib being reckless, should he taste a counter left hook from McGregor, nor will McGregor open himself up throwing wild punches leaving himself open for take downs.

Just all around great match up because either or has the power and skill set to expose the other's weaknesses. It will boil down to who makes the first mistake, and to me the fight will go in the opposing fighter's favor for the remainder of it.

McGregor gets taken down, and gets the ground and pound treatment for a round--its curtains, as he is now second guessing himself.

Same for Khabib, should he get wobbled by a counter.

Hard to bet on a fighter, but I don't think McGregor is as razor focused as Khabib and may ultimately cost him. Coming to a press conference drunk?

I think Khabib wins it in 3.

I think at a certain point Khabib clearly got agitated and annoyed. I only understood like... 75% of what Conor was saying, dude drank too much of that whiskey beforehand.

I've never seen Conor hate an opponent so much. It's legitimate hate, compared to the Aldos, Mendes', Diaz, Alvarez, etc., where there was respect there and it was just hype. There's so much history that it seems like legitimate hate with these two. It's going to be a war.

if Conor f***ing wins after knocking out Khabib on the proper whiskey logo in the octagon jfc lol

Conor's going to get Khabib killed if he keeps goading him when asking him if he's ashamed of Putin like he did at the press conference today lol

Its all part of the mental warfare. Everything is calculated with Conor its what makes people hate or love him lol

I think if Conor tags him and rushes him, Khabib would get a single/double leg on him. If Conor can keep this on the outside i could potentially see a finish similar to Eddie. It's such a classic match up though, probably the best in memory for me. Elite striker vs Elite grappler.

Big McGregor fan, but i do have cash on Khabib here.

I wasn't really into the vibe of this press conference.

I think Conor probably had a good plan going in, but he got a bit too excited/drunk and it came off very wacky and corny at times. Like if you had a good wedding speech planned and then drank too much and your timing was off.

Can't wait for the card though. Just don't let the top two fights fall apart, I can live with whatever else happens.

Conor. Went. HARD. Geez. Some people said this was vintage Conor, but to me, this was way more angry and personal than I've ever seen Conor. Especially at the faceoff and he goes off on Ali (Khabib's manager). I have enough faith in Conor's promotional genius to think this was just an act to sell the fight and try to get to Khabib, but if it wasn't....Conor might be in trouble.

I think Conor got to Khabib, though. He was constantly talking over him, not responding to what Khabib was saying to him, mocking him with that childish mumble, taking shots at his dad, his politics, offering him whisky (a poke at his religion?). Whether it effects Khabib at the fight, who knows, but I think at the very least Khabib was frustrated during the press conference.

I'm leaning towards Conor in the fight, though. Khabib is a monster, no doubt. Khabib has never fought someone with Conor's standup, though, and he has different level power. I think you saw that when he fought Eddie. Eddie seemed to go "holy shit" when he felt the power. And look at the wars Eddie has been in. I know Conor has never fought a wrestler quite like Khabib either, but I think Conor has a better chance at stuffing Khabib's takedowns than Khabib does of standing with Conor. Plus, Khabib is not much of a finisher. So even if he gets Conor down a couple of times and beats him up, Conor will still have a shot to land that left hand in the next round.
