Finland is definitely in a strong position to qualify. I think the away game in Bosnia will be the most important.

I think Finland will lose that one, but home wins vs. Greece, Armenia and Liechtenstein would most likely be enough.

Generally in a 6-team group, 20 points is the target, though of course you can qualify in the top 2 with less in more competitive groups (that one time Estonia made the Euro playoffs they did it with only 16 points, but that group was balanced where even the Pot 6 team took points)

    In a 5-team group its 14-15 points

Im thinking 18 or 19 point will be enough because Italy will just crush pretty much everyone in the group and Armenia will also steal a odd point or two.

I don't really have much sympathy for this viewpoint when the entire Scotland squad on the pitch at the same time would have about the same effectiveness as one of the Belgium attackers

Would there be anyone here able to tell me how Italy played yesterday? I missed the match.

It wasn’t there best performance, I would say Bosnia had the best chances in the match but weren’t clinical. Italy scored a great goal (volley from a corner kick) to equalize and scored late to win it. What shocked me about Italy was how easily Bosnia got in the final third at times 4 against 3, 5 v 4 etc. Jorginho was probably the weakest player

I thought Messi has more goals, but even if he doesn't and even if Mbappe has a head start, he has to keep scoring at incredible rate for the next eleven seasons (Messi is 32 now). So 570 goals in that time frame, 51 goals per season. Say 36 in a league, 9 in domestic/ european cups and 6 with the NT every year. I guess it's doable, but he really can't afford any injuries or dry spells.

No he can't, but if he plays up front and shoots pen? He easily scores 51 per season. This season he has 39 in 43 games (with 13 assists BTW). And he's played most of these 43 games on the wing. And he shot very few penalties (when both Neymar and Cavani were out basically). So under the right cirumstances he scored 50 goals surely.
And of course, that's not counting him progressing. Few players stop progressing at age 20.

Yeah, that was the group where Serbia had the crowd violence in Italy so UEFA warded the Italians with a 3-0 win. Who knows how that game may have played out, Serbs could of had second if they could have gotten a result. I also think the Faroes beat Estonia for their only win in the group.

There was Group A in that cycle that had a 2nd place team get only 17 points (Turkey). That group contained Austria and Belgium so they all took points off each other. The Germans romped to a 10-0-0 perfect record.

Penalties will help for sure, but for example Messi's best scoring seasons have mosly come during their extended runs in the CL. Mbappe's team would need to progress regularly in the semis, probably. Of course he could pad his stats in the early rounds of domestic cups, but that isn't usually the smartest thing to do regarding team's future success later in the season.
How much his new potential central position will help depends on the teammates and the system a bit, I don't necessarily think that him playing centrally alone up front allows him to make best use of his speed (and he might suffer more injuries playing there as well). Starting from a bit deeper might actually help him score more using his speed.

It has helped tremendously already. When he plays up front (and thus with N and C), he scores much more.

But those two won't be his forward partners for all of the next 11 seasons he needs to achieve this feat... btw, do you happen to have in hand the amount of penelties Neymar and Cavani scored last season? If he would have scored all those last season, he probably has more than 50 already last season, I'd think.

Sure, but Mbappe will play with PSG, Real, Barca or clubs like that. The NT is also exceptionnal in terms of talent.

They have 8 combined penalties scored and 1 missed.

Who over hyped Pukki, or rather how can you even overhype him? He is legit one of the best attackers In Europe atm. Won the Golden boot in (arguably) top-5 league and has been one of the hotter goal scorers on international games. Right now Benfica is trying to buy him but there's no way Norwich is letting go of him.

It has to be a joke. The people saying this cannot be so dumb, the guy wasn't even good enough to play for Celtic.

Agreed. I hold the football opinion that Cambodia is a bettter footballing nation than Brazil and Germany, and I’ve never shared it here for fear of these guys jumping down my throat.

One of the hottest atm, yes.
Championship is easily top-7 league. Top-5 is arguable.

    EPL
    LaLiga
    Serie-A
    Bundesliga

are in the league of their own but after that most hardcore football fans put Championship. Much harder to play there than score goals for PSG and sandbagging teams with 1/100 of budget for example. French league is really weak overall.

For example Norwich has bigger player budget than Ajax who was in the Champions league finals.
