Saturday November 30 at 18:00 CET in Bucharest will be the draw for Euro 2020, don't get why UEFA couldn't wait until later when most leagues are in winter break as surely most fans will be focused on the domestic leagues but oh well. Twenty of the 24 teams are known with the remaining four playoff winners being determined in late March. Unlike previous editions, there are multiple hosts (12 to be exact) and because of this some teams are locked into certain groups. We see one example already (Group B) where three teams know already they will go there and the draw will simply determine the last team in the group and the order of the fixtures

Here are the pots, teams with * after them mean they are group hosts:
POT 1: Belgium, Italy*, England*, Germany*, Spain*, Ukraine
POT 2: France, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia, Netherlands*, Russia*
POT 3: Portugal, Turkey, Denmark*, Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic
POT 4: Wales, Finland + four playoff winners

Special congrats to Finland who are making their Euro debut, there will be at least one more team making their debut, the winner of the League D playoff while Bosnia-Herzegovina from League B and Israel from League C are looking to make their debut as well. Netherlands and Denmark return after missing out on 2016

Now we get to the group makeup, the qualifying hosts already know what group they are in as well as the two seeded non-hosts in Belgium and Ukraine

Group A (Rome/Baku)
ITALY
FRA/POL/SUI/CRO
POR/TUR/AUT/SWE/CZE
Finland/Wales

Group B (St. Petersburg/Copenhagen)
BELGIUM
RUSSIA
DENMARK

Finland/Wales

Group C (Amsterdam/Bucharest)
UKRAINE
NETHERLANDS

POR/TUR/AUT/SWE/CZE
Playoff A or D (if Romania in A they go into this group, otherwise its the D playoff winner)

Group D (London/Glasgow)
ENGLAND
FRA/POL/SUI/CRO
POR/TUR/AUT/SWE/CZE
PLAYOFF C WINNER

Group E (Bilbao/Dublin)
SPAIN
FRA/POL/SUI/CRO
POR/TUR/AUT/SWE/CZE
PLAYOFF B WINNER

Group F (Munich/Budapest)
GERMANY
FRA/POL/SUI/CRO
POR/TUR/AUT/SWE/CZE
Playoff A or D (if Romania win League A then this spot goes to winner of League D; if not then it's one of Iceland/Hungary/Bulgaria)

And finally, how the draw will actually work: https://www.uefa.com/multimediafiles/Download/competitions/General/02/63/38/43/2633843_DOWNLOAD.pdf

UEFA bridges nations and communities together buuuut Russia can't play Ukraine and it seems half of Europe can't be in Kosovo's group let alone other incidents in different competitions (a player not being allowed to play in the EL final, which happens to be a host in this tournament as well) :sarcasm:

Turkey vs. Italy is the opening match of Euro on June 12 in Rome

Turkey play in Baku twice, assume basically home games for them?

England play the Czechs again

Sweden with Spain and Poland, looks like we have a decent chance to advance.

Italy got a soft group + all three games in Rome while their opponents travel to Baku

Same could be said for the Dutch, they get the playoff D winners plus maybe the weakest seed

Group A
Turkey
Italy
Wales
Switzerland

Group B
Denmark
Finland
Belgium
Russia

Group C
Netherlands
Ukraine
Austria
Playoff D (Georgia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Belarus)

Group D
England
Croatia
Czech Republic
Playoff C (Scotland, Norway, Serbia, Israel)

Group E
Spain
Sweden
Poland
Playoff B (Bosnia, Slovakia, Rep of Ireland, N. Ireland)

Group F
Playoff A (Iceland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania)
Portugal
France
Germany

A lot of repeat matchups from qualifiers (BEL-RUS, ENG-CZE, ESP-SWE) and some from the Nations League too. Italy got a soft group, mostly defensive teams though so lets see if their form from qualifying translates to these games. Group B was pretty much known from the start, Belgium despite playing two away games shouldn't have issues. Netherlands and Spain will be happy with their groups as well.

Group D have two big favorites but we might see some big derbies should one of Scotland/Serbia qualify, though if somebody like Norway or Israel lands in that group its a walkover for both England and Croatia

Group F is obviously the toughest, though as Savi says as long as you beat the playoff team you will probably progress

Group D is a walkover even if Scotland or Serbia go through.

Nothing super interesting, though I think Group E can surprise.

Croatia-Serbia and England-Scotland are anything but normal games, though yes Scotland is weak and England shouldn’t have problems but a Croatia-Serbia match anything goes despite Cro being better. Now for the next 3-4 months all the talk will be about a potentially fictional match with Serbia

Also England are again in a situation like at the World Cup where it’s better not to win their group :D

We got super lucky in the draw. If we would of been drawn to group A, we would of faced Italy,Turkey and Switzerland.
Probably would of gotten 1 lucky point, if that. In group B; Russia & Denmark shouldn't be that difficult opponents, now obviously
Belgium will defeat us easily in the group B final game but we will finish 2nd.

Belgium 9 points
Finland 6 points
Russia 3 points
Denmark 0 points

Portugal has their best team since Euro 2004 and that's the group they get:(

We could get Romania/Hungary playing at home too.
