Jack Hughes, 2-1. Great pass by York.

Get used to saying that. Probably the best passer in the draft. Facilitates so much offense for the US, yet some of these "experts" seem to think he's just benefiting from playing with Hughes and those guys, but those guys benefit a lot from York as well. It's like McDavid and Draisaitl. Excellent players benefit from each other.

York is the creme of the crop when it comes to the US defenders. It takes a special kind of player to play with all that talent. He finds that fine line of not trying to do to much but doing enough so that hes dangerous.

Hard to justify drafting Caufield at 8oa. He could be the steal of the draft but smaller players in the playoffs are often easier to shut down.

You shut down the line drivers by over playing them. Caufield would not be the focus in Edmonton.

Also interesting to note York was named a top3 player by the coaches for team USA along with Hughes and Caufield over guys like Boldy, Zegras, Turcotte and Knight. They know how valuable he is to their team.
