What the hell with this tourny. Swiss are leading 4-1 heading to the 3rd period. Finland went to OT against Sweden and Sweden lost to Slovakia... It would be weird if both Sweden and Finland goes to relegation.

That would be stupid.

And the logic like
Team A beat Team B
Team B beat Team C,
so Team A is better than Team C doesnt work.

Slovakia lost 3-2 in SO against CZE. Slovakia looks like the 2ne best team in Pool B quite surprising.

Canada won 9-1 against Latvia, 2 goals and 2 assists for Turris same for Knelsen. 3 assists for Stamkos.

Is anyone here actually watching the games?
If so, is Knelsen rotating through the lines? Today he scored on a line with Stamkos, Esposito and Gillies and Turris and Couture.
It also looks like Sutter is centering the fourth (energy) line with Bastien and Fortier. Is this correct?

Turris, Couture and Knelsen each with 2g 2a and it looks like they may have been playing as a line by the end of the third if not before. Torquato seemed to be on with Turris & Couture until then.
Nice to see both Turris & Couture lead the team today as Team Canada needs more than scoring exclusively from the Stamkos line to go far.

Shots on goal were 36-21 for Canada, expected a wider gap given the score. 4 minors to Canada, only 1 to Latvia. Clean game evidently.

Finland
Finland - Czech Republic 4-2 (4-1,0-1,0-0)

http://www.iihf.com/Hydra/Tournamen...data/iihf/output/xml/109/IHM109B14_74_2_0.pdf

Tomi Sallinen 2+0, Niclas Lucenius 1+1, Niko Kluuskeri 1+0, Eetu Pöysti 0+3, Sami Martikainen 0+1, Olavi Vauhkonen 0+1

Vladimir Ruzicka 1+0, David Stich 1+0, Tomas Kubalik 0+1, Ondrej Roman 0+1, Petr Stoklasa 0+1

FIN Juha Metsola 25/27
CZE Marek Benda 8/11
CZE Dominik Furch 23/24

Lucenius, Metsola and Sallinen were imo the best players for Finland. Voracek only played in the third period but he played well when he was on the ice.

Canada won the shoot-out, Zack Boychuck with the winner, far as i can tell at least.

a lot of late '89s not eligible in 2007 making a big impact for Canada

Big penalty-kill in OT for Canada as Doughty was in the box for hooking I believe.
HUGE HUGE win over USA!

OK, can someone here tell me for sure who won this game? The IIHF site first reported that Team USA won 3:2 (game winning penalty #14 Schroeder). They changed it shortly afterward to 3:2 for Canada (game winning penalty #14 Boychuk). And now Hockey Canada writes on its homepage that Team USA won 3:2 (again game winning penalty #14 Schroeder).
