Not sure if this has been mentioned or not... if not, and you are local to the Ann Arbor area, get out to Yost Ice Arena Thursday night, Dec. 2, 8pm for the Pro-Am Skate for Mott. It's a charity game organized by former Wolverine David Roberts to benefit the "Champions for Children" campaign to build a new children's and women's hospital at U-M. The game will feature the U.S. NTDP Under-18 Team vs. the NHL. The NHL team is comprised of: Steve Yzerman Darian Hatcher Nicklas Lidstrom Chris Chelios Manny Legace Chris Osgood Aaron Ward Chris Tamer Bill Muckalt Kris Draper Sergei Samsonov Bryan Smolinski Doug Brown Kip Miller Kevin Miller David Harlock David Roberts Brian Rolston ... and who knows who else will show up... Yzerman and Hatcher were just added yesterday. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. There will also be a silent auction where you can bid on the game-worn jerseys and even autographed bottles of wine made by Igor Larionov. Should be a fun night! Anyone lucky enough to attend, pass along a report. "I'm not saying we got ourselves in over our heads, but we've heard rumors about our competition," Ward joked. "The onus is on us to come prepared."
