Statistics without proper context and conferral with on-ice results are useless. This is why arbitrary stupid statements like "the numbers don't lie" is an ignorant approach to statistical usages.

I mean you just need to watch Bowness postgame to see Seguin may not believe in analytics but Bowness does but not in all analytics the same. 5on5 scoring chances the Stars where absolutely fine throughout the series. If Vegas wants to shoot harmless shots from the outside on an unscreened goalie after passing the puck around for a minute or two in the offensive end than by all means go ahead. It just wastes everybodies time but nothing will happen.

Posters relying only on any type of analytic stats are not seeing the full picture. Then some even pick only stats solely to "win" arguments on HF such as P/60.
