Anyway if I'm being serious, Mantha for Myers straight up. Maybe we can add in some sweeteners.

I take that and run. What has Mantha's problem been with Detroit? Seems like he can't get a fair shot.

Personally I have no real problems with Myers, (a little overrated) but he's too good to be a third pairing D, and with Byfuglien and Trouba, it seems he is the odd man out.

Sure lets trade a top 4 RHD for a prospect who hasn't been able to crack the line up yet since being drafted in 2013. Not like RHD don't cost a premium or anything. Another forward prospect is JUST WHAT WE NEED .

Or, an overpaid, #5 defenseman (when we have two far better RHD already in the lineup), for an elite ceiling prospect who will be a decent NHLer as soon as he's given a solid chance in the lineup.

He is not a overpaid #5 defenseman, are you kidding? just because Buff and Trouba are better does not make Myers a #5. Our top 4 is Enstrom, Buff, Myers and Trouba.. Who's this other top 4 Dman who just magically appeared? That is a horrible return for Myers. Who's Mantha going to replace? Ehlers? Wheeler? Connor? Laine? Yikes.

Edmonton got hosed, that wasn't fair value.

As for who is better? No one, but Myers is more often than not closer to Postma than Buff, Trouba, or Enstrom.

He's still a top 4 offensive RHD on a decent contract who puts up points. D men, especially RHD cost a premium in this league. We don't have the luxury of just handing them out like candy for a prospect. For another top 4 LHD? sure! but for a prospect who would be quite far down on our list of already big list forward prospects makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. None. Nada. Zilch.

Evander kane did too with 4-6 month recovery times. He was traded.

Under the current construction of the Jets Trouba plays LHD with Buff and Myers and Enstrom team up with the hilarious difference in height yet using the same length stick.

Myers has been really good.
The Jets had some really bad stretches last season and all of the players looked pretty bad in those scenarios.

The most likely expansion protection list for us is to protect 4 D and 4 Forwards (opposed to the 7 - 3 option). We're gonna lose a pretty decent forward either way. But WPG can afford to lose a Dano type player a lot sooner that a top 4 D.
