I really like what he brings to the team. A big body and heavy on the forecheck. He should be fine in the bottom 6 all year with some spurts in the top 6 here and there.

I knew BWC would come in here and say something along the lines of that before he even posted it. I was more expecting a "why did we even bother signing him, should have cut bait on Stanleys poor draft pick"

Hard to complain about this deal. Hopefully Hayden can turn into an effective 3rd liner (at which point this deal is a bargain). If he's just a 4th liner, still a solid cap hit that won't hurt you.

Hayden uses his big body well and has plenty of character but his skating, especially the first few strides, needs improvement.

Still needs work but it has improved since he's turned pro. Still some work to do but there's been improvement, at least.

Could be a poor man's Tom Wilson. I have a very low opinion of
Tom Wilson though so that isn't as glowing a comparison as it may seem.
