Quebecor launches the french channel TVA sports today at 5pm (eastern time).

Illico: ch 24 SD and 624 HD
Shaw Direct: 747 SD and 238 HD


RDS will respond with RDS2 october 7th


Hoping to see some NHL and CHL games. RDS still have the Habs tv contract but we'll be able to see some senators games.

Yes, IIRC from earlier announcements, TVA Sports will have 25 Sens games this year. Not too many QMJHL games (15?) but they'll have the Memorial Cup.

Quebecor should buy CTV to have an english version of what they are doing. Bell have their hands in too much many pies like RDS, TSN and CTV and most of it is mediocre.
