Here is the US TV schedule for WJC. All games on NHL Network. Gary Thorne, Dave Starman, Fred Pletsch and Billy Jaffe will have the call for the US game. My guess they will pick up the TSN feed for the others.

Date | Game | Time (EST)
12/26 | Russia vs. Canada | 4pm
| Finland vs. USA | 8pm
12/28 | Canada vs. Czech Republic | 4pm
| USA vs. Slovakia | 8pm
12/29 | Norway vs. Canada | 7:30pm
12/30 | Sweden vs Czech Republic | 3pm
| Germany vs USA | 7pm
12/31 | Canada vs Sweden | 4pm
| USA vs Switzerland | 8pm
1/2 | Quarterfinal #1 | 3:30pm
| Quarterfinal #2 | 7:30pm
1/3 | Semifinal #1 | 3:30pm
| Semifinal #2 | 7:30pm
1/5 | Bronze Medal Game | 3:30pm
| Gold Medal Game | 7:30pm
http://www.usahockey.com/world_juni...ult.aspx?NAV=AF_03&id=296460&DetailedNews=yes

If someone wants to post the TSN schedule or other international tv schedules that would be great to have it in one spot for everyone.

What's the deal with Americans not being able to watch games in primetime?? It's insane to have a 4pm EST start time!! Out west, in AB, we're stuck with a 2pm start time which is completely ridiculous.

All the US games are in primetime (in the east). The host get the primetime slots. You can only play one game at a time at the same rink.

I hate the timing for Canada's games (2 PM for me), but I guess since the host is USA, they get the prime-time games.

So Canada could be playing a semi-final game at 4 PM ET on a Monday? That would suck for TSN and most Canadians.

I will be praying for a prime time match-up (if they do make it that far), but that would mean they're playing US which is a bit scary.

I always had to leave work due to illness at this time of year. World Junior Fever was the diagnosis. You'll probably see that pop up in episode of "House" one of these days.

Nice, none of USA's games are on during a Ranger game. (Even though I'm not sure if any other NHL team is scheduled to play on those days..)

Grat, I just realized that the only games that will be on TV in Germany are the ones with Canada. I like Canada, and I'm sure it will be fun to watch them play Sweden, Russia, etc., but I really hoped I could catch at least one game from the German team.
But since I don't expect them to make it to the semi-final, I don't think it's happening.

* TSN.ca streaming games is not available in Finland, Russia, Sweden, or the USA due to broadcast rights. In all other countries it should work. No clue whether RDS.ca streams should work outside of canada.

** Broadcast only if that country's team is playing in this game.

a note on scheduling... i used home and away teams based on the TSN schedule. IIHF schedule does not specify. For the medal round, games could change timeslots, and i have no idea how home and away is done. 19:30 timeslot is reserved for USA, or canada if USA isnt playing in that round.

so, what's not on TV anywhere? Relegation round games, and a few games vs either germany or norway. I blame German and Norwegian tv for not covering this event.

According to the TV Guide on the Eurosport website they are also showing the bronze medal game. Although I'm not sure if this is true, since they also seem to be showing a semi final game on the 4th although they're supposed to be played on the 3rd.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

@Danish: Your blame is well placed, but our TV stations wouldn't show it even if we won the WJC.

All the US games are in primetime (in the east). The host get the primetime slots. You can only play one game at a time at the same rink.

You think the tournament organizers would realize that Canada will bring the bulk of the money to the tournament(whether it be TV revenue or attendance) and try a bit harder to have them on at better times.

dannish, I don´t think they´re the only ones to blame- because the TVs of the opponent team countries that Germany or Norway are playing in those games are definitely interested in showing the games and I´m sure all of them expressed their interest, but like Slovak television STV were told that there won´t be any international signal for those games. I personally think that the reason for thus might not ony be the disinterest of the Norweagian/German TVs, but also on someone who just looked at it and said why bother with produving a signal for the games with the two bottom seeded teams? Because as I already said there definitely were TVs interested in showing the games.

Btw as for the Slovak shedule, they will be showing all Slovakia´s games if possible (i.e. if there is an international signal created for them), so it probably depends on whether Slovakia makes it to the quarterfinals as I doubt that there will be signal for the relegation round games.

yeah, wouldnt surprise me if slovak tv does the same thing as sweden and czech in the medal round, only showing home country's games. On the iihf tv schedule, they weren't mentioned for any medal-round games, so i left that empty until a slovak could correct me.

edit: the games on the 27th would probably have been covered by slovak/cze if not for the fact that they start at 2AM CET. Those games should have been made afternoon games.

Just find out that STV will also show both semifinal games and the gold medal game undepending on who plays them acc to this.

It also says that sicne the rights for creating the signal from the games was sold to the TSN all the TVs from the other countries sent TSN a list of games they were interested in (TVs from all countries but Switzerland, Germany and Norway) and then TSN decided which they would do. No idea based on what they decided it as it obviously is possible for them to create the signal for the Slovakia-Switzerland game which will only be shown in Slovakia by STV as no Swiss TV is interested, but at the same time they´re not going to produce the signal for the Germany-Slovakia game.

as i just added above, there is a good chance slovak and czech tv didnt even request the dec 27th games because of the time they would air in europe. Do you really want to watch your team play germany or norway between 2AM and 5AM?

I know for a fact that STV has requested the game with Germany as a number of fans have called/e-mailed them about the WJC shedule and they were told that the lack of international signal was the only reason why they weren´t showing the game.

Also the Germany game is one of our key games alongside with the game against Switzerland in the tourney and STV has aired our two Latvia games played at around the time the last two years, so I really don´t see a reason why they shouldn´t want to air this one. When it commes to the round robin WJC games mostly only die hard hockey fans over here are gonna watch them, but with the horrible numbers STV3 gets for almost anything they show even a game against Germany might get them an overaverage result if all the die hard hockey fans tune in.

Such ******** that SVT won't deliver HD quality when the games are produced with it. So much for public service.
