Heroic birthday performance. I don't think that there's many left who don't believe him to be worth every penny of his contract.

Rask claimed all he wanted for his 28th birthday was a win against the Senators, but teammates were asked at the morning skate what else they were going to get him anyway. Brad Marchand said he was going to get his goalie nothing, because he makes $7 million, and added that Rask should be getting him a watch or something. Said Chris Kelly: "Is it his birthday today? They gave a cake to (assistant coach) Doug Houda on the plane and it wasn't his birthday, so Tuukka is probably pretty upset. Poor Tuukka." ...
