Great time at the watch party hosted by the Roadrunners at Brother John's Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ on Stone for the fan appreciation dinner.

Met a 1972 North Dakota champion from Winnipeg who sat at our table. Had his championship ring which someone else at the table noticed. Lives in the area. Going to look him up now on ep and hockey db now.

Roadrunners back in a playoff spot with four games to play. (Ironic, no??)

Final two games come against San Diego, who is also pushing for a playoff spot.

Anaheim has six AHL playoff eligible players to send down to San Diego who don't play until Wednesday at home vs. San Jose, before the final two regular season games in the Ol' Pueblo.

Brendan Guhle (who did not return tonight with an upper body injury, no familiarity with Gulls yet)

Roadrunners lost to Bakersfield tonight 3-4.

Two games left but have their playoff chances in their hands if they sweep both games against San Diego this weekend in regulation. Any other result and things get complicated.

Garland goes baby duck hunting tonight and scores in OT on an end to end rush with 3 seconds left. Roadrunners take over the 4th playoff slot leading Colorado by 1 point, who coughed up 3 unanswered goals in their loss to San Jose. One game left for everyone, Colorado one point below us, San Diego 2 points ahead of us, and we go head to head with them in the final game tomorrow.

Garland had a ridiculous amount of swagger first game back, Hill was a bit shaky on their third goal.

Despite Conor Garland getting two more goals again tonight the Roadrunners lose in regulation 3-4 and have been eliminated from the playoffs.

Maybe it's because I think he's so fun to watch, but having attended this last game, Garland really did look like a ringer, man among boys, although he looks otherwise like a boy among men.

Tough finish. Garland wasn't enough. At times he looked like he was trying to do too much on his own. His turnover at the blue line cost a goal against. Roadrunners just couldn't break San Diego's PK and D. At times they would just throw blind passes into the slot for easy giveaways and lose the offensive zone. Garland was one of the biggest offenders. Hill had an adventure behind the net that Merkley bailed out.

Garland deserves to be a regular in the Coyotes lineup. He's also reminding us that he has the talent of a scoring line player. If Tocc wants to use him in the bottom six, that's fine, as long as he gets a chance once in a while to move up.

Or get more 2nd-3rd line players so he can have better linemates down in the lineup.
