They need another rink in Tucson, that would go along way to continue to grow the sport of hockey, best sport in the world. Lots of roller players in Tucson because of the roller rink there, and now with more ice, more and more of those kids will be hockey players. You never know where the next Auston Matthews is going to come from and it could be a kid from Tucson, you never know.

That is true. A new rink Tucson should take priority over a jumbotron.

I've been to two games and have tickets for four more. TCC is an intimate venue. Had to wait for the Roadrunners to get on the ice for warmups before we could get to our seats so we got to fist bump them on their way out.

Hope they can keep Colorado out.

2 huge games for Tucson this weekend (Saturday/Sunday) against Colorado Eagles who they are basically tied with 56pts. Sweeping would go a long way to solidifying a playoff spot and right the ship that has gone missing the last couple weeks.

Tucson is just absolutely going in the tank...I'd argue that a large proportion of the drop is due to Capobianco departure from the team.

With Kyle: 39G 22W 13L 4OTL 48pts 61.54% Pct 3.44 GF 3.13 GA
W/O Kyle: 12G 2W 7L 3OTL 7pts 29.17% Pct 2.08 GF 3.50GA

I'm sure their recent play is also due to other contributing factors, but it sure seems that Capobianco was big reason for their success.

Coyotes have also raided their depth.

Not sure why Sullivan traded the team's leading scorer beyond Capo (Hewlenka) either.

Flexibility? It was a two for one - they didn't end up using the contract slot but I would surmise that was at least part of the motivation for the deal.:dunno:

It is also true the Roadrunners lost Kempe, Garland and Helewka...which is part the reason for offense to begin sputtering. Pettersson just doesn't have the same impact as Helewka.
