McDavid continues reign atop TSN's Top 50 player ranking
Here come the complaints about Matthews at 8
Wow, some notables on that list
- MacKinnon all the way at #3
- Stamkos drops from #17 to #21 even after the year he had last season
- Burns drops from #8 to #28
- Eichel drops from #21 to #33
- Benn and Seguin feel too low
I can't wait to read all the hate comments about Auston Matthews being ranked at #8.
Before the whining starts, it's only taking into account the previous season to project the next season.
So it's a list of who will be the best players of the 2018-2019 season
I think even the most optimistic Leafs fans won't complain about him being that low.
I'm shocked Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander and Rielly aren't top 5.....
Matthews at 8 oh boy . . . Fans are gonna complainnnnn.
I'm glad doughty is high and Carlson isn't overrated either.
20 players were over PPG (82) last season, how do you fit 70 point players into the top ten?
Matthews and Tavares both ahead of Barkov. Very interesting...
It's an improvement for him since last season Matthews was ranked #10. Besides him Marner moved up from #50 to #45 and Tavares stayed at #16.
Matthews seems a bit high, but I suppose they're extrapolating for his injury last season. I wouldn't complain too much about that, especially if you factor in any potential Canadian/media bias.
MacKinnon seems rather high for one phenomenal season.
The bottom third of this list is... pretty bad... A lot there that I disagree with.
Rinne, Bobrovsky, Seguin, Giroux, Kucherov, Voracek, Kessel, MacKinnon.
Players fortunate enough to make TSN's elite list, get bumped off, and then jump back on.
Rinne and MacKinnon each did it twice.
Well that took 8 minutes. Bit slow HF
Talking about Matthews? He was ppg last season too. Anyways this is a projection for next season.
MacKinnon Over Malkin. Jesus Christ.. Mackinnon has one good year, and Hockey fools put him above Malkin . Crazy
Wow, that’s a lot of love for MacKinnon.
Tarasenko at 37. Amazing.
I'd also quit watching if we traded Pietrangelo for Voracek. Or about 8 other guys ahead of him.
So why would Leafs fans complain about him being at 8 then?
Not having Mackinnon and Hall on this list at all last year shows you how much this list means.
I have no problems with him being ranked #8. It's the people who hate the Leafs who will have a problem with that. Last year they went crazy when he was ranked #10.
I know, I'm just being sarcastic
Huh? Who’s complaining about him at 8? That’s his correct spot.
Kessel seems a bit low, Matthews definitely too high. Guess the Toronto factor makes him better than last seasons Hart and Selke winner (who also outproduced him), as well as an annual Norris candidate
I hate lists.
