- Stamkos drops from #17 to #21 even after the year he had last season
- Burns drops from #8 to #28

It's an improvement for him since last season Matthews was ranked #10. Besides him Marner moved up from #50 to #45 and Tavares stayed at #16.

Matthews seems a bit high, but I suppose they're extrapolating for his injury last season. I wouldn't complain too much about that, especially if you factor in any potential Canadian/media bias.

MacKinnon seems rather high for one phenomenal season.

The bottom third of this list is... pretty bad... A lot there that I disagree with.

Players fortunate enough to make TSN's elite list, get bumped off, and then jump back on.

Rinne and MacKinnon each did it twice.

I have no problems with him being ranked #8. It's the people who hate the Leafs who will have a problem with that. Last year they went crazy when he was ranked #10.

Kessel seems a bit low, Matthews definitely too high. Guess the Toronto factor makes him better than last seasons Hart and Selke winner (who also outproduced him), as well as an annual Norris candidate
