By combining McKenzie & Button, it would turn out to be something like this in 2018... agree/disagree?
(their TOP 4 is identical, while 6-10 varies quite a bit)

1. Buffalo - Rasmus Dahlin (Defence | Frolunda (SHL) | 6'2 | 181 lbs. | Apr. 13, 2000)
2. Carolina - Andrei Svechnikov (Right Wing | Barrie (OHL) | 6'2 | 188 lbs. | Mar. 26, 2000)
3. Montreal - Filip Zadina (Right Wing | Halifax (QMJHL) | 6'0 | 195 lbs. | Nov. 27, 1999)
4. Ottawa - Brady Tkachuk (Left Wing | Boston U (NCAA) | 6'3 | 196 lbs. | Sept. 16, 1999)
5. Arizona - Evan Bouchard (Defence | London (OHL) | 6'2 | 193 lbs. | Oct. 20, 1999)
6. Detroit - Jesperi Kotkaniemi (Centre | Assat (SM Liiga) | 6'2 | 188 lbs. | July 6, 2000)
7. Vancouver - Quinn Hughes (Defence | Michigan (NCAA) | 5'10 | 170 lbs. | Oct. 14, 1999)
8. Chicago - Noah Dobson (Defence | Acadie-Bathurst (QMJHL) | 6'3 | 180 lbs. | Jan. 7, 2000)
9. NY Rangers - Oliver Wahlstrom (Right Wing | USA NTDP (USHL) | 6'1 | 183 lbs. | Jun. 13, 2000)
10. Edmonton - Adam Boqvist (Defence | Byrnas (SWE-J20) | 5'11 | 168 lbs. | Aug. 15, 2000)

as per no trade, my guess... pretty spot on, except for 5 & 6

I don't think Montreal takes Zadina. It's going to be a C, or D, even if that means they trade down... but could be wrong.

yeah I've seen MTL trading down quite a few time... ARI would be a team that I see doing so (Kotkaniemi/Hughes in MTL are the names that I've seen the most)

EDIT: Most ligical trade down, seems to be ARI/DET depending on who they're really targetting

The way Bob was talking about Kotkaniemi, and what we are seeing in other places, I think he's going 3rd at this point or a trade down is happening. Although, how many more 2nd's does MTL need? Although, they could obviously use that ammunition to move back into the first in the 20s.

I think only 1 and 2 are set in stone. Total crap shoot after that.
If Montreal goes for Kotkaniemi (I think they do) at 3 the dominoes cascade from there.

How do you figure? Button has Hayton at 7 and McKenzie has him somewhere in the top 11. How does he not end up top 10? How did you do this calculation?

I don't know about Button, but McKenzie doesn't do projections. He compiles a list of best players based on scout's lists.

he was 11th... draft position divided by 2

This, I thought Mackenzie's was purely talent based ignoring organizational position of need.
yup, BPA while Button went more with needs from what I could see

I have a hard time seeing Detroit ending up with Kotkaniemi, with how I see everything going.

I think if the top 5 went like this they would trade back and take Hughes or Dobson.

Why are you using Bobs list from a month and a bit ago when he literally just yesterday said that there were changes to it, while specifying things like the consensus #2 D, Kotkaniemi, etc.
