Awesome list!

I think Boldy should be higher. From what I’ve heard, he’s been as impressive as Hughes, for the most part. Big and fast with a decent shot and some of the best instincts around the net in the draft, is what I’ve been reading.

I also think that Pelletier should be higher, and at minimum above similarly-sized Caufield. I agreed with something I read from a poster recently that watches the two more than I, that Pelletier does everything better than Caufield but shoot the puck, and the kid’s got a great snapper anyhow.

I like the Harley ranking but would push for him to be in the top-30. Really liking his game so far, although I’m not sure who he should bump out.

Just out of curiosity - why aren’t Krebs and Pelletier higher?

There's also two Max Wahlgrens. Though I assume one of them is meant to be Joel?

Nice work!

Nice list, thanks for putting the time and effort to come up with it.

I could be wrong, but this feels like the strongest draft for WHL prospects in recent memory when it comes to the top 10 picks or so.

Our lists are really similar
I like how Afanasyev is getting a lot more love recently, nice to see but why’s Boldy so low?

Nice update but have to have Podkolzin ahead of Newhook. One couldn't make the team at the Ivan Hlinka while the other was arguably the best player there. Newhook is hot lately but I think there is no way he has closed the gap established at that tournament

You have Newhook listed as a LW, he's listed as a C on Elite Prospect and from the games I saw last year he was playing C. Did that change this year, haven't got a chance to watch one of his game this year so far

Curious to why Suzuki is not top 10. I would have thought his amazing start this year would have generated more hype.

Appreciate the effort you always put in to these.

Ballsy to have Kakko over Hughes, I think Cozens, Krebs, and Dach can all push for top 1-5.

Centre depth looks strong in this class.

Just out of curiosity - why aren’t Krebs and Pelletier higher?
Krebs, I'm really just not a big fan of. I feel like he can be a good energy middle 6 player, but I don't really see any outstanding potential with him to warrant putting him higher than the middle of the 1st round. Pelletier has been really good, and I'm being pretty harsh on him with this ranking. Maybe I haven't watched enough, but I hadn't seen him use his shiftiness as well as others have mentioned to make up for his size. He does have a great offensive skillset and I'll watch a few more of his games to get a certain read on him.

Just out of curiosity (I always love your lists) what more do you need to see from Lavoie for him to crack your top ten?
I'd really love to see Lavoie develop his playmaking skill more. He will sometimes make good passes and plays but he doesn't too it as often as I think he should at least. He's got a great toolbox.

I can't say I've seen to much of the U18's, so I could be missing something there, but the last time I watched he didn't seem to have the best stick handling / puck control. Not sure if that's changed recently.

He's moved up my list since the start of the year. Abundances of points don't always equate to large jumps up my list, I like to analyse the actual play and tendencies as well. A breakout was more or less expected from Suzuki with a good team around him, and he's playing well. He could be jumping into the conversation with some of the guys above him soon.

You have Toporowski on Portland instead of Spokane and Harley on Soo instead of Mississauga

Obviously have different rankings but the biggest one for me is Korczak as to me he's the 2nd best Dman in the draft and should be a top 20 pick safely. He's been a beast this year and doesn't even get the PP 1 time which goes to Thomson

I'm not conviced with Newhook at 5. I think he is a lottery pick but not top 5. More in the top 10 to 15 pick.

Was producing at a 1.46 ppg last year.
Now he is at 1.5 ppg for 2018 2019.
Not evolving so much..

If we compair with Jost he so far from the year he had on his draft year.

Let's see who I have ahead of him

AHEAD

Kakko
Hughes
Kirby Dach
Dylan Cozens
Vasili Podkolzin
Bowen Byram
Trevor Zegras
Alex Turcotte
Ryan Suzuki
Raphael Lavoie
Peyton Krebs
Matthew Robertson
Arthur Kaliyev
Caufield

EQUAL TO NEWHOOK VALUE
Victor Soderstrom
Cam York
Philip Broberg
Legare
Pelletier
M.Wahlgren

So I see 14 players ahead of him.

BCHL.. I mean I don't like high draft picks coming from these b-leagues. Unless they destroy the league.

He's not destroying the BCHL.
