Troy Ward and Robbie Ftorek let go

Troy Ward came off to me in interviews as somewhat passive so I'm not really that surprised by this move.

With the way Brad Treliving talks about winning and creating a winning culture it's understandable that he would want his own person coaching the farm team.

I'm almost thinking Ward is being targeted by NHL teams so they didn't bother renewing his contract.

On 960 they were saying that Ward coached his own style and didn't completely adopt or adapt to the NHL style that Hartley was going for, so that the players could transition back and forth more easily. He received praise from Burke, but I think Treliving and maybe Conroy dug a little deeper on exit interviews etc.
