What's your excuse?
A) This thread is amazing. Laughing my ass off

B) In my dream NHL, this is a 1-2 game suspension. I can't see him getting more than a fine in this era.

This thread is easily in the running for best thread of 2018/19 season. Laughed pretty good at some of these replies.

This clip cut out my favorite part, when the Natural Disasters helped out their Hurricane mates, and nailed Trouba with a chair to the back of the skull.

holy f*** who cares about the gif quality.

I don't think that's a suspension worthy offense. Could easily be played off as two guys going to the ice together.

Didn't look as intentional as MM at first glance. The elbow driving him down looked nasty tho. Maybe it wasn't just an unintentional fall and he meant to lean on him and take him down.

Guys are going full WWE this year. Matheson's got the Rock Bottom, Trouba's got the Jake 'the snake' Roberts DDT.

Apparently this “drive into the ice” move is the next wave of dirty things that needs to be looked at. A couple of seasons ago it was slewfoots, before that it was kicking, and that was after the headshots died down. DOPS needs to drop a memo and start making examples.

This one isn’t as blatant as Matheson because there isn’t that angle of stalking and blatantly targeting a star. But it’s still a really damn dangerous thing to do, and if guys don’t knock it off we’re going to end up with someone carried off on a stretcher. Helmets can’t fully protect them from this kind of impact.

Definately dangerous play. The thing that is disturbing is Trouba actually fells himself on the guy. Isnt as flashy as Mathesons play, but dangerous. Head/neck injury is always possible with plays like that.
