Ok, why haven't we signed TvR already. Come on, we need D, he is available, and, we already have JvR, his brother, on the team.

Let's go Nonis!

Because are at the 50 contract limit....

The leafs either need to make a trade or wait till after the draft when some contracts end.

And yes you can make trades after the deadline the players just cant play for you. Not sure if they can play in your system. Either way they could trade a prospect they have given up on that some other team could see as a project or make a 2 for 1 trade of marginal prospects like they did with the Lashoff trade.

Luckily TVR is not going to be playing hockey the rest of this season due to his broken leg and there's no urgency for him to sign officially with any team.

The Maple Leafs could realistically agree to the terms now and sign him on July 1st.

On second thought, maybe, TvR should sign with a team that has a clue how to compete! Our Leafs are terrible!

TvR signs with Chicago per Bob Mckenzie, not sure why he picked them though, must've been a blackhawks fan

Not sure how talented TvR is, but that's going to be a tough road to climb even for a top prospect.

The Hawks are stacked almost everywhere.

Keep in mind the minutes here are likely locked up as well. Finn,Percy,Phaneuf,Gardiner,Granberg and Rielly are probably the core of the D looking ahead. Not even factoring in free agents and trades. Making any roster isn't easy.
