Don't get why the A's wouldn't have paid the 1/18 that was required to keep Semien but they are killing it with their bullpen this offseason.

Because they didn’t have that much. They only made these moves because they got money in the Andrus deal and Rosenthal took deferred money. He’s getting 3 mil this year, 3 next year and 5 in 2023.

He was hurt last year. I don’t see why he can’t be close to his 2019 self if healthy.

They probably didn't think they were going to be able to get all those guys for 2-3 mil a piece when FA opened either

I’m guessing they had a plan B after Semien and La Stella left since these deals came together so quickly.
