Travis Williams, Penguins chief operating officer, leaving to join Islanders

This seems like a pretty big get, this guy runs the entire business operations side for the Pens.

“Under Williams’ leadership, the Penguins have built themselves into one of the NHL’s most successful brands and business-oriented teams.

They regularly finish at or near the top of every NHL metric involving merchandise, U.S. television ratings and social media penetration.”

Part of the success he's had has been because the team is good. Glad to have him though.

Wait no nickel & dime front office moves? As Kevin Weeks would say, Islanders "welcome to the National"..

Dividends to be reaped down the line, feels odd having a real backbone in the organization

Who asked to be traded. BOOM. Headshot.
Yeah, but when family health issues come up,you cannot blame Hamonic for wanting to be closer to home.

As for the Williams hiring...good news. From the article it sounds like he played a key role in getting the Pens arena built. Hopefully, Williams helps smooth the road for the Belmont project.
