A real shame. He did a substantial amount with his time on earth, though, and turned a tragedy into an opportunity for real change. Hopefully his advocacy can help us one day find a cure for most if not all forms of spinal cord injury.

An absolute hero. There are not many people I would call a hero of mine. Travis has been a hero of mine for a long time. One of the strongest and warmest souls ever to be on this planet. My condolences to the friends and family.

in the mid 2000's he came to my middle school and shared his story. It was an assembly i actually paid attention to since his speech was hockey related, and i remember it being inspiring.

Sad to hear of his passing

I still remember seeing video of his injury. It's why I get so squeamish every time I see someone go into the boards awkwardly now.

RIP Travis.
